Greensboro, N.C. — LIU women's tennis defeated North Carolina A&T 4-2 on Thursday, ending its three-match road trip across North Carolina on a positive note.
Lucia Garrigues started things off for the Sharks by winning her singles match, defeating her opponent 6-2, 6-1.
Clara Tardivel followed that up with a 6-4, 7-5 victory of her own, and though North Carolina A&T would begin to come back, a 1-6, 7-5, 6-4 win by
Ksenia Reznitskaya gave LIU its third win of the day.
Jenna Svatos would go on to win by default, putting the finishing touches on the 4-2 victory for the Sharks.
LIU will next face off against Saint Francis on Friday, March 14 at 6:45 p.m., matching up at Queens College.
