BROOKVILLE, N.Y. — Clara Tardivel has been named NEC Women's Tennis Player of the Week following strong performances against Army and Fairfield.
 
Tardivel's spring season began with two singles wins, the first coming against Paulina Feoli and Rutgers on Jan. 25 (6-0, 6-2) and the next against Lily Malinowski and Fairfield later on the same day (6-4, 6-4).
 
She and fellow Shark Jenna Svatos also went on to win their doubles matchup against Rutgers (6-1) as well.
 
Tardivel is coming off a 2024 campaign that saw her earn NEC All-Conference Team honors while helping LIU win the NEC Championship.
 
LIU will continue its play this season by visiting Drexel on Saturday, Feb. 22 at 12 p.m.
