Sharks run for 278 yards in win over the Seahawks

BROOKVILLE, N.Y. — Redshirt junior quarterback Ethan Greenwood passed for one touchdown and ran for another to lead the Long Island University football team (6-6, 4-3 NEC) to a 24-17 win over NEC rival Wagner College (5-7, 4-3 NEC) in the season finale on Saturday afternoon at Shark Stadium. With the win, the Sharks closed the season on a three-game winning streak and posted the program's best record in its Division I history.

Greenwood scored from two yards out to make it 21-17 early in the fourth quarter, the touchdown coming three plays after he found freshman wide receiver Jayden Simpson for 47 yards, setting up a first down and goal at the Wagner seven-yard line.
