LORETTO, Pa. — The LIU softball team took on CCSU in an NEC Tournament elimination game on Friday afternoon. 

The game was full of home runs, with eight total and the Sharks hitting five of them. 

Mari Narvaiz hit two of those round-trippers as well as a double and finished the day with four RBI. 

Gabby Padilla hit two home runs and singled as well, driving in three runs. 

Kaylee Clarkson hit a solo shot into left center and recorded and RBI. 

Lily Hinkle went 2-5 at the plate with two singles and a run scored. 

LIU battled late but fell 12-9.
