STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — The LIU men's lacrosse team scored nine goals in the first half against Wagner before defeating the Seahawks 14-8 to secure its seventh-straight win.
Freshman standout
Ben McIsaac scored three goals and tallied an assist as the Sharks improved to 4-0 in MAAC play.
Sean Boll scored a pair of goals and assisted on three others, two of which led to McIsaac's goal at the midway point of the fourth quarter.
Tom von Bargen,
Cam Connolly, and
Aidan Zuhoski each contributed two goals.
Karl LaCalandra played another solid game defensively. The Comsewogue High School product scooped up five ground balls and caused a turnover.
Shawn Hill went 12-22 in the faceoff circle, and
Jasper Simon was solid in net. The Washington, D.C., native stopped 11 shots.
LIU will host Sacred Heart on Saturday at 2 p.m. at Bethpage Federal Credit Union Stadium.
