LEXINGTON, Va. — The LIU women's water polo team kept the good times rolling on Sunday morning when it dominated conference foe VMI 21-5 to move to 3-0 in MAAC play.
The game was out of reach almost immediately as the Sharks scored 12 goals in a row before they Keydets could answer. The goals just kept on pouring in as seven different LIU players scored.
Sydney deVroedt scored a team-high six goals followed by
Paola Dominguez-Castro and
Emma Sardo who each had four.
Elena Camarena,
Rachel Loomis and
Kate Hinrichs all scored two while
Diba Peiravani had one.
Martina Gianonni made 13 saves in net.
The Sharks return to the pool Saturday at noon when they take on VMI once again.
