                     SELDEN, N.Y. — The LIU equestrian team delivered notable performances in its final regular show of the season on Sunday.
 
Sam Koeppel and 
Anna Perlow secured a win in open fences, with 
Paige Mather claiming third place.
 
In Intermediate fences, 
Megan Rodier and Shelby Mckie took the top spot, followed by Kat Gargiulio and 
Abigail Clarke in second, Jules Tag in third, 
Lizette Kelly in fourth, and Emmaree Hernadez and 
Sophia Mirando in sixth.
 
Tori Cohen and 
Ariella Portnov dominated Limit fences, securing first place, while Alyssa Baychuck, 
Brooke Keen, and 
Erin Gutzeit placed third, and 
Ally Perticone, 
Helen Chimbos, and Sam Capuano placed fourth.
 
In the second half of the day, 
Sam Koeppel and 
Anna Perlow continued their success, winning in open flat, with Alyssa Baychuck in second and Peyton Lafrenz in third.
 
Paige Mather and 
Emily Lonegro triumphed in Intermediate fences, followed by 
Megan Rodier in second, Shelby Mckie in third, Jules Tag in fourth, and Bianca Tornecrantz, 
Lizette Kelly, and 
Alyssa Buback in fifth.
 
Lillian Ferguson, Sam Capuano, and 
Arwen Talbot dominated Limit flat, securing first place, while 
Ariella Portnov and 
Sarah Daniels claimed second, Emily Yonkees and 
Helen Chimbos third, and 
Abigail Clarke and 
Grace Catanese fourth. Tori Materria clinched first place in novice, with Olivia Korzcep in third, while 
Nicole Kravets earned second place in Pre Novice.
 
Abigail Zwilling emerged victorious in Introductory, with Abigail Bartlett in second and 
Alyssa Napoli in third. The Sharks concluded the day as the high point team, with 
Sam Koeppel earning the title of high point rider.
 
As the high point team in the region, the Sharks are poised to continue their success into the post-season. They will compete at regionals next weekend at Sagamore Hills in Fort Salonga, NY.
