BURLINGTON, Vt. — Julia Trainor and Erin Harkins each produced hat tricks, but the LIU women's lacrosse team fell to host Vermont, 15-9, on Friday afternoon at Virtue Field.

Trainor also recorded a pair of assists for a five-point day.

Harkins also had produced a hat trick Wednesday at Manhattan.

Olivia Fantigrossi contributed two goals against the Catamounts.

The game originally had been scheduled for Saturday, but was moved up a day to avoid inclement weather.

The Sharks next head to Smithfield, R.I., for a Wednesday afternoon game against Bryant.
