BROOKLYN, N.Y. — After falling to Sacred Heart by 30+ earlier in the season, the LIU men's basketball flipped a switch on Saturday night as it shot 50% from the floor and turned a tied game at half into a 17-point victory, 75-58.
The Sharks dominated the second half, shooting 57.7% while holding the Pioneers to 25% shooting. Big shots from
Tana Kopa and
Eric Acker would seal the deal as Sacred Heart could not come back from the double digit deficit.
Kopa led the Sharks with 20 points and Acker had 10.
Tai Strickland was second on the team with 16 points and narrowly missed a double-double, grabbing nine rebounds.
Terell Strickland, who missed the first 10 games of NEC play, returned with a vengence as he had a team-high seven assists and poured in seven points.

The Sharks return to the court on Thursday when they host FDU at 7 p.m.
