BROOKLYN, N.Y. — After leading LIU women's volleyball to a 3-0 record with three straight shutouts, Bella Correia has accomplished a three-peat of her own. The freshman has been awarded her third consecutive NEC Rookie of the Week honor.
 
Correia had another strong week, leading the Sharks with 11 kills in the team's win over Manhattan on Oct. 23, finishing with 27 kills and 9 spikes overall in LIU's three victories.
 
Following Correia's lead, the Sharks are currently riding a six-game winning streak, featuring five shutouts. The team now boasts a 5-2 record at home, and a 5-3 record against conference opponents.
 
LIU will return to play with a road matchup against Mercyhurst on Friday, Nov. 1 at 6 p.m.
