Carter Rapalje, scored the lone goal for LIU in game one of the Sharks' two-game series against Notre Dame on Friday night.
Rapalje scored on the power play 31 seconds into the third period to cut LIU's deficit to two.
Isaiah Fox and
Chris Pappas assisted on the goal.
Rapalje finished the game with a team-high nine shots.
Isaiah Fox and
Cade Mason each recorded four shots.
Valtteri Piironen blocked six shots, while
Andrius Kulbis-Marino blocked five.
Goaltenders
Daniel Duris and
Noah Rupprecht both saw action for LIU in net.
LIU fell to the Fighting Irish, 4-1.
