BROOKLYN, N.Y. — LIU women's volleyball standout Bella Correia took home NEC Rookie of the Week award honors on Oct 15 following a pair of impressive outings against Chicago State.

Correia came up with a season-high 11 kills in her team's Oct. 11 matchup, and tallied team-highs of 19 kills and 7 spikes through both of the Sharks' games last week. 

This marks the second time this season the freshman has earned such recognition, as Correia previously won NEC Rookie of the Week on Sept 5.

Correia and LIU will return to action Tuesday, Oct 15, taking on Saint Peter's on the road.
