NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. — Faith Shaw earned Most Outstanding Field Performer for throws and three Sharks won events at the 2023 NEC Outdoor Track & Field Championships this weekend.
For the women:
• Shaw won the discus at 41.60m
•
Tess Duignan finished second in the 800m (2:13.19), five-hundredths of a second behind winner Ashley Dana of Central Connecticut
•
Rali Mihaylova finished second in the 1500m (4:34.19)
• The 4x100 relay of
Alessandra Pastor,
Shaunelle Wallace,
Camille Watson and
London Claxton finished second (48.22)
•
Sade Panton finished second (12.62) and teammate Shaw finished fourth (12.04) in the shot put.
• Wallace finished third in the 100m (12.25)
•
Josephine Critchley finished third in the 5000m (18:25.64)
• The 4x400 relay of Claxton, Watson, Pastor and Duignan finished third (3:56.54)
And for the men:
•
Elyas Ayyoub won the 5000m (15:04.15)
•
Jordan McKenzie won the 200m (21.14)
• McKenzie finished second in the 100m (10.47), two-thousandths of a second behind winner Julian Sanders of Saint Francis U
•
TJ Roberts finished second in the 400m hurdles (53.52)
• Ayyoub finished third in the 10000m (31:17.72)
Overall, the women finished fifth and the men finished sixth among the nine NEC teams.
