SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. — Next stop, nationals!

The LIU equestrian team advanced to the national championship round after placing second at the Zone 2 finals on Saturday.

Competing for the team was Anna Perlow, Julia Bonvino, Sophia Mirando, Kathryn Gargiulo, Tatum Cawley and Kendra Moore.

Individually riding, Perlow, Bianca Törnecrantz, Sam Koeppel, Peyton LaFrenz, Juliana Lingner, Sophia Mirando, Sarah Stayton and Nicole Kravets all rode well and ended the day with great ribbons.

Perlow took second in the Cacchione Cup to advance to the May 5-8 nationals.
