PORT WASHINGTON, N.Y. — The LIU rowing teams had a phenomenal showing this past weekend, with the women winning both the varsity 8 and varsity 4 races.
Stony Brook ended up scratching its men's and women's lightweight 4s, so LIU's lightweight 4 ended up racing with the varsity 4s, where the women ended up coming in second to the Shark's varsity 4 and beat out Bryant and Stony Brook's varsity 4s.
"It was a great day, breaking in our brand new fleet of boats," coach
Jaclyn Smith said. "And we finished off the day with a successful fundraiser at Oyster Bay Brewing."
