NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. — The LIU rowing teams completed their fall season with positive showings at the Fall Metropolitan Championships.
The women's varsity 2x, which included
Kylee Gross and
Emily Hughes, won with a time of 9:00.02, topping a pair of entries from Manhattan as well as teams from Fairfield and Iona.
The women's varsity 4 and men's novice 4 finished second in their races.
The women's varsity 4 included Gross,
Leah Bowlby, Isabella Kolstad-Khan, Hughes and coxswain
Lily Fisher.
The men's novice 4 included
Sean Barry,
Daniel Tellerman, Rishi Shah, Matthew Cinigli and coxswain
Shervin Keypour.
"Overall the team performed well," coach
Jaclyn Smith said. "We gained some great knowledge to go into winter training with."
