NORTH EASTON, Mass. — The LIU softball team completed a series sweep at Stonehill on Saturday with a pair of victories.
The Sharks defeated the Skyhawks, 12-2 and 6-1.
In Game 1,
Gabby Padilla and
Alexia Castro homered. Each drove in three runs.
Kira Buckner limited Stonehill to one earned run on three hits in a complete game.
In the nightcap,
Alyssa O'Donnell struck out nine while limiting Stonehill to one run and four hits in a complete game. And Castro again drove in three runs.
LIU improved to 11-4 in the NEC.
The Sharks next host Army West Point on Wednesday at 3 p.m. on Long Island.
