NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. — The LIU men's basketball team wrapped up its 2022-23 season with a 91-76 loss to top-ranked Merrimack in the first round of the NEC Tournament.
Jacob Johnson led the way for the Sharks on Wednesday night. The guard scored a team-high 16 points against the Warriors.
R.J. Greene, Amadou Fall and Cheikh Ndiaye also played big roles in the Sharks' opening round matchup against the Warriors. Greene and Fall scored 13 points each, while Ndiaye finished the game with 12 points.
First year head coach Rod Strickland wrapped up his first season leading the Sharks. Strickland guided R.J. Greene to the NEC All-Rookie Team.
The 6'6" guard hit the double digit scoring mark 12 times this year. The Bronx native scored a career-high 21 points against Saint Francis Feb.18.
