BROOKVILLE, N.Y. — Lily Bilello had a strong game in goal, but the LIU women's lacrosse team had a two-game winning streak snapped with an 8-5 loss to Manhattan on Saturday at snowy Bethpage Federal Credit Union Stadium.
The teams were engaged in a defensive battle and tied at 2 at halftime. Manhattan then took a two-goal lead into the fourth quarter.
The Sharks pulled within 5-4 on
Olivia Fantigrossi's goal with 12 minutes, 39 seconds remaining, but could not even the score.
Bilello made eight saves for LIU.
LIU next travels to Philadelphia for a 3 p.m. game on Wednesday against Drexel.
