Lily Bilello Has Strong Game in Goal, but Manhattan Pulls Away Late

BROOKVILLE, N.Y. — Lily Bilello had a strong game in goal, but the LIU women's lacrosse team had a two-game winning streak snapped with an 8-5 loss to Manhattan on Saturday at snowy Bethpage Federal Credit Union Stadium.

The teams were engaged in a defensive battle and tied at 2 at halftime.  Manhattan then took a two-goal lead into the fourth quarter.

The Sharks pulled within 5-4 on Olivia Fantigrossi's goal with 12 minutes, 39 seconds remaining, but could not even the score.

Bilello made eight saves for LIU.
