BROOKVILLE, N.Y. — Sean Boll had produced a hat trick less than 20 minutes into Saturday's game as the LIU men's lacrosse team rallied to a four-goal lead.
However, Monmouth responded with eight unanswered goals and held the Sharks scoreless for more than 34 minutes en route to a 10-6 win at Bethpage Federal Credit Union Stadium.
Freshman
Tyler Davide was given his first collegiate start. He started on the same defensive unit as brother
Nicholas Davide, a junior.
Sean Gillman started for the third straight game and made nine saves.

Nick Colantonio also scored for the Sharks.
LIU (0-4) returns to action next Saturday when it faces host UMass Lowell at noon.
