BROOKVILLE, N.Y.— The LIU equestrian team closed the fall season with a home show on Sunday and again finished as the high-point team.
To start the day,
Anna Perlow took the win in open fences,
Paige Mather took second and
Sam Koeppel took fourth.
In intermediate fences,
Julianna Tag took the win,
Kathryn Gargiulo and
Sophia Mirando took second,
Peyton LaFrenz and
Abigail Clarke took third,
Bianca Törnecrantz and
Emmaree Hernandez took fifth and
Shelby McKie took sixth.
In limit fences, Addy Docherty and
Helen Chimbos took wins,
Lizette Kelly,
Ally Perticone,
Rebecca Kats, and
Ariella Portnov took second,
Erin Gutzeit,
Megan Rodier and
Alyssa Buback took third,
Brooke Keen and
Emily Lonegro took fourth,
Arwen Talbot and
Samantha Capuano took fifth and
Tori Cohen took sixth.
During the last part of the day, in open flat, Perlow took the win, Koeppel and LaFrenz took second and
Alyssa Baychuk took fifth.
In intermediate flat, Törnecrantz took second,
Paige Mather took third and McKie took sixth.
In limit flat, Gargiulo,
Sarah Daniels and Portnov took wins,
Emily Yonkes,
Anna Maria Polcini, Lonegro and Capuano took second,
Helen Chimbos and
Erin Gutzeit took third,
Alyssa Kolesnikova, Perticone and Keen took fourth,
Tori Cohen took fifth and Talbot took sixth.
In novice,
Tatum Cawley took won,
Saige Hinch took second,
Savannah Negron took third,
Emily Mulhern took fourth,
Natalie Farina and
Olivia Korzep took fifth and
Sam Kauhaus took sixth.
In pre-novice,
Charlotte Kozlowski and
Nicole Kravets took second and
Brooke Greenstein took third.
In introductory,
Abigail Zwilling took the win,
Rhiannon Bradley took second,
Abbey Bartlett took third and
Alyssa Napoli took fourth.
The Sharks return to action for the spring season in February.
