MELVILLE, N.Y. — The LIU equestrian team again ended the day as the high-point team on Sunday, in a Molloy-hosted competition.
And
Julianna Tag was the high-point rider.
Anna Perlow opened the day with a win in open fences, with
Paige Mather taking second and
Sam Koeppel in third.
In intermediate fences,
Bianca Törnecrantz took the win,
Kathryn Gargiulo was second and
Sophia Mirando took fifth.
In limit fences
Alyssa Baychuk,
Rebecca Kats and Tag took wins,
Ally Perticone and
Samantha Capuano took second,
Tori Cohen took third,
Brooke Keen fourth and
Ariella Portnov fifth.
During the second half of the day,
Peyton LaFrenz took second, Baychuk took third, and Perlow and Koeppel took fifth in open flat.
In intermediate flat, Tag took the win, Mather third and Törnecrantz fifth.
In limit flat,
Emily Lonegro, Perticone,
Alyssa Buback and
Megan Rodier took wins,
Adaryn Docherty and
Sarah Daniels took second, and
Erin Gutzeit,
Grace Catanese and
Emmaree Hernandez took third.
In novice,
Savannah Negron took the win and
Natalie Farina was third.
In pre-novice,
Nicole Kravets took second,
Sam Kauhaus was third and
Brooke Greenstein was fourth.
In introductory,
Alyssa Napoli took fifth.
The Sharks return to action Saturday at an Adelphi-hosted competition in Fort Salonga.
