BROOKLYN, N.Y. — LIU men's basketball faced St. Francis Brooklyn after winning its first Northeast Conference contest on Thursday night.
The Sharks fell to the Terriers, 71-59, in the Battle of Brooklyn.
LIU outscored St. Francis, 31-27, in the second half after it fell behind 20 at half.
R.J. Greene had a standout game at the point guard spot. The freshman finished with 17 points, 10 rebounds and seven assists.
Tre' Wood reached double figures with 12.
As a team, the Sharks shot 40% from the field and took only four threes and connected on three.
LIU returns to action at Merrimack on Feb. 2 at 7 p.m. The game will be streamed on CBS Sports Network.
