BROOKLYN, N.Y. — The LIU women's volleyball has put together its first win streak of 2022.
In a dual match vs. Hartford, the Sharks won both games to move to 5-7 overall.
The first, starting at 11 a.m., was dominated by an LIU offense that topped its previous game-high in hitting percentage at .315.
The Hawks were held to 11 points or fewer in each three sets.
Celine Mukura had a stellar performance, collecting eight kills on 10 swings.
The second match proved to be like the first with the Sharks winning in straight sets, 25-13, 25-16 and 25-19.
Karolina Nova and
Barbora Hošková each finished with nine kills.
Anastasia Scott led the defense with 14 digs.
Up next, the Sharks will travel to Sacred Heart to open Northeast Conference play on Sept. 23 at 5 p.m.
