WINCHENDON, MASS. – The No. 2 seed LIU women's ice hockey team took on No. 3 Saint Anselm in the NEWHA Championship semifinals, falling 3-1. The Sharks finish the 2022 season 17-15-3 overall. 
 
SHARK BITES

• The Hawks scored a goal in each period to go up, 3-0 in the third period.
• Senior Alva Johnsson got the Sharks on the scoreboard with a few minutes remaining in the game, assisted by Maggie Culp and Megan Bouveur. 
• As a team, LIU out-shot Saint Anselm, 45-29, on the evening. 
• Freshman goalie Tindra Holm finished the contest with 26 saves, and Sarah Rourke led the Sharks with five shots. 
• The 2022 season had two historic marks for the program: the first regular-season championship title, and the first winning record in program history.
