POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. – The LIU women's lacrosse team traveled upstate to Marist on Wednesday, falling to the Red Foxes, 14-6. Whitney Moran led the Sharks offense with two goals on the day, while Hannah Keneally added a goal and two assists.
 
SHARK BITES

• Moran fired in the game's first goal at the 8:34 mark in the first quarter off an assist from Hannah Kenneally. After Marist answered, Kenneally tallied her second assist of the period when Brianna Tribble responded with a goal, giving LIU a 2-1 lead.
• The Red Foxes would score four unanswered, including a man up goal, to take a 5-2 lead heading to the second.
• Keneally scored on a man up goal of her own at the 11:28 mark, and Moran contributed her second goal two minutes later to shrink the lead to 5-4. At halftime, the score was 6-4, Marist.
• Amanda Masullo scored an unassisted goal to bring the tally to 8-5, but the Red Foxes would score the next five goals, making it 13-5.
• With 8:14 remaining, Ava Taylor scored LIU's final goal. Marist added one more to bring the final to 14-6. 
• Hailey Duchnowski collected14 saves. Lily Bilello also saw time in goal, earning 12 minutes of game action.
• Up next, the Sharks return home to host Holy Cross on Tuesday, March 8 at 1:00 p.m.
