Will Snelders scored his 151
st career goal, passing Matty Beccaris as LIU's all-time leader in career goals.

Eric Wolf. "To be mentioned alongside Matty Beccaris is an honor in itself. Setting the record is a testament to the work Will has put in, as well as the work of his teammates, throughout his career. We're hoping to put a few more up before this is all said and done."
SHARK BITES
- James Butler found Richie LaCalandra for the first LIU goal of the afternoon with 2:38 remaining in the opening period. After the first, the Sharks trailed the Gorillas, 3-1.
- Two minutes into the second, LaCalandra found the back of the net for the second time to bring the Sharks within a goal.
- UMass would respond, but Blake Behlen would add his team-leading 14th goal of the year off a Sean Kennedy assist to make it 4-3, Gorillas. Heading into halftime, the Sharks trailed, 5-3. Will Mark collected nine saves in the first half to keep the game within two goals.
- UMass scored three straight goals to begin the third, extending its lead to 8-3. The Sharks responded with Behlen adding his second of the contest on an assist from Sean Boll. Less than a minute later, Snelders scored an unassisted goal to make it 8-5.
- The goal from Snelders came with a bonus, cementing himself as the Sharks all-time leader in goals in a career.
- The Gorillas added two more before the end of the period, leading 10-5 heading to the fourth. The Sharks got two more goals, courtesy of Behlen and Butler, to bring the final score to 12-7.
- Mark finished with 13 saves, and faceoff specialist Justin Joseph won 13 faceoffs.
- Up next, LIU will return home to host Wagner in its first conference game of the season on Saturday, March 19 at 12:00 p.m.
