Women’s Swimming Finishes Out NEC Championship Meet Saturday

GENEVA, Ohio – The LIU women's swimming team wrapped up the 2022 Northeast Conference championship meet Saturday. The Sharks finished the meet in third in the team standings, with 418 team points.

LIU had several Sharks score points throughout the night.
LIU's lone podium appearance came in the final event of the night, as the 400 free relay squad of Lydia Amon, Venna Andersen, Ella Johnson and Jacqueline Grabowski came in third with a time of 3:37.27.
Rea Shehu came in fourth in the 200 back finals in 2:02.69, while senior Jacqueline Grabowski came in sixth in 2:03.39.
Sophomore Venna Andersen came in sixth in the championship final of the 100 free, with a time of 52.03.
Aidan Condit scored points in the 200 back, coming in 12th in 2:05.50, while teammate Sara Rodriguez Rubio came in 15th in 2:07.72. Mouton Magali scored in the 200 finals, coming in 12th in 2:24.67, just ahead of Isabelle Seagrave, who finished 14th in 2:25.95.
Maja Uduc and Reyna Iwamoto both scored points in the 1650 free. Uduc came in 15th in 18:04.77, while Iwamoto took 16th in 18:10.21.
