BROOKVILLE, N.Y. – The LIU men's lacrosse team notched their first win of the 2022 season at home Saturday, beating Siena, 14-7. With the win, the Sharks move to 1-1 early in the season schedule.

• The game was a defensive battle early on, as neither team would score for the first ten minutes. The Sharks got on the board first, when Thomas Von Bargen found the back of the net at 4:04 in the first to give LIU the 1-0 lead.
• The second quarter was all LIU, as the Sharks would score five straight, with goals from Nick Colantonio, Patrick Harrington III, James Butler, Sean Boll, and Blake Behlen to enter halftime ahead 6-1.
• The Sharks and Saints would trade goals in third quarter, and LIU entered the final period ahead 9-4.
• The Sharks locked up their win with two goals from Jake Gillis and Behlen, along with one more from Colantonio to secure the 14-7 win.
• Will Mark accumulated 11 saves against the Saints on 18 shots faced.
• Behlen finished as the offensive leader for the Sharks, with four goals.
• The Sharks are back in action at home this Wednesday, February 16 against Quinnipiac. First faceoff is slated for 11 a.m.
