BROOKLYN, N.Y. — LIU men's basketball continued its challenging non-conference schedule on Monday, taking on America East member, UMass Lowell.
The Sharks fell to the Riverhawks, 84-64, and moved to 1-7 overall while UMass Lowell improved to 9-1.

Jacob Johnson played the entire first half, and Ndiaye was efficient inside and shot 5-7 from the field and added 10 points
Ndiaye, a junior from Thiés, Senegal, finished with 14 points and seven rebounds. He broke his previous career best in points of 11 vs. CMSV on Nov. 14.
Among other notable numbers included
Marko Maletic reaching double figures for the seventh consecutive game.
Johnson led the team with 18 points on a remarkable 12-12 from the charity stripe. He also added nine rebounds and three steals.
LIU is back in action at No. 5 UConn on Saturday.
