LOS ANGELES — LIU alum James Jones' professional baseball career will continue with the Los Angeles Dodgers organization.
Jones, 34, signed a minor league deal with L.A.
Jones played this winter with Mayaguez in Puerto Rico and Licey in the Dominican Republic.
He played outfield early in his professional career before switching to pitching.
Jones was drafted in the fourth round by the Seattle Mariners out of LIU Brooklyn in 2009.
He played in a combined 136 games at the major league level with the Mariners in 2014 and '15.
