BROOKLYN, N.Y. – The LIU men's volleyball team played their first match in the Steinberg Wellness Center on Friday night, and despite strong showings early in the first and third sets, ended up falling to Springfield, 3-0 (25-22, 25-14, 25-20)

• Caden Satterfield, a junior outside hitter, played all three sets and led the Sharks with 10 kills on the night, along with five digs.
• Graduate Student Mark Stapley tallied five kills and an ace.  
• Freshman setter Luca Holanda notched eight assists for the match while fellow freshman setter Kasey Clouet had seven assists and four digs.
• Up next, the Sharks are at home again to face off against St. Francis Brooklyn on January 18.
