Somerset, NJ -- The Northeast Conference (NEC) today honored an elite collection of student-athletes with the announcement of its 2020-21 Winter Academic Honor Roll, consisting of a record 895 student-athletes with a 3.20 or better grade point average.
 
There were also a record 299 student-athletes named to the Winter Commissioner's Honor Roll, recognizing those superior student-athletes with a 3.75 or better grade point average.
 
LIU had 102 winter student athletes earn recognition on the Academic Honor Roll, and 30 athletes who qualified for the Commissioner's Honor Roll.
 
Women's swimming led the way with 26 athletes on the Academic Honor Roll, followed by women's indoor track & field (20), men's swimming (14), men's indoor track & field (13), bowling (13), women's basketball (10) and men's basketball (6).
