SMITHFIELD, R.I. – The LIU baseball team gave Bryant a good fight on the road Friday, but fell to the league-leading Bulldogs, 4-2.
Bryant got on the board first Friday, using two two-out walks and an RBI single to take the early 1-0 lead. A single home run over the right field fence in the third made it 2-0, but LIU got on the board soon after.

Cade Biddle would have a lead-off walk and stole second. With two outs,
Christopher Wasson walked in four pitches, and the Sharks' first run scored on
Giovanni Ciaccio's RBI single, to make it 2-1.
The Bulldogs used two walks and a double to add two runs to their total in the bottom of the sixth. LIU started to close the gap in the top of the seventh. Ciaccio would walk, and stole second, advancing to third on a Bryant error.
Andy Camilo's RBI groundout brought him home, and the Sharks had cut the lead to 4-2.
LIU would get runners in scoring position in the top of the eighth, but couldn't bring them home, and Bryant would take the 4-2 win.
