Women’s Swimming Starts NEC Action Tuesday

CARLISLE, Pa. – The LIU women's swimming team started the Northeast Conference championship meet Tuesday evening at the Keystone Aquatic Center. The Sharks sit in sixth as a team after day one of action.
 
LIU got the night started on a high note, as the 200 free relay team of Rea Shehu, Lydia Amon, Jacqueline Grabowski and Venna Andersen finished third in the event, with a time of 1:35.55.
 
Senior Jeanne Touchette-McGowan was a high finisher for the Sharks in the 200 IM, as she came in fourth in the event, with a time of 2:06.89. And Andersen had a strong performance in the 50 free final, tying for fourth place, with a time of 23.69.
