BROOKLYN, N.Y. - The LIU women's basketball team fought hard in the first half against Ivy League opponent Yale Wednesday night in the Steinberg Wellness Center, but struggled in the second half, falling to the Bulldogs, 65-37.

• After hanging with Yale and trailing 30-23 at the halftime break, the Sharks scored just 14 points in the second half.
• LIU finished the game shooting 25.9 percent from the field, and just 11.8 percent from three-point range.
• Yale scored 21 points off of LIU turnovers.
• Senior Erykah Russell led LIU with 11 points, six rebounds, two assists and two blocks.
• Brandy Thomas had seven points, four rebounds and four steals.
• Sophomore Zoee Hache had sex rebounds, while Kennedy Taylor had five, along with two assists.
• Up next, the Sharks take on Columbia on the road, Monday, December 13 at 5 p.m.
