SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. – The LIU men's basketball team opened the season at the University of San Francisco Tuesday, falling to the Dons, 98-64.

• San Francisco led wire-to-wire in the season tip off.
• The Dons out-rebounded LIU 41-23, and scored 25 points off of turnovers.
• Senior Eral Penn led LIU with 18 points and six rebounds.
• Sophomore Kyndall Davis had 13 points on 5-of-6 shooting and two steals, while senior Ty Flowers added nine points.
• In their LIU debuts, Isaac Kante had six points and five rebounds, while freshman Quion Burns had five points.
