SHARKS WIN! Women’s Hockey Beats Saint Michael’s, 9-3

EAST MEADOW, N.Y. – The LIU women's ice hockey team moved to 4-0 in the NEWHA at home Saturday, beating Saint Michael's, 9-3.

  • Four different Sharks had multiple goals in the game: Megan Roe, Carrigan Umpherville, Maggie Korneta and Journey Miller each had two goals. Junior Megan Bouveur also had a goal in the fourth-straight win for LIU.
  • Three of LIU's goals were power play goals. The Sharks converted three of their five chances.
  • Goalie Kenzie Harmison had the win, making 11 saves in net.
  • Roe (15-7) and Bouveur (13-5) led the Sharks in faceoffs.
  • Up next, the Sharks take on Post University at home, Friday, November 5 at 3 p.m.
