Sabrina O’Dette was named the associate head coach of the LIU Dance Team in 2020. O’Dette is a Head Instructor for NDA and a six year veteran of the Varsity Spirit Brands Company. She has choreographed for many youth, middle, and high school dance teams around Long Island.
O’Dette started dancing at age two at North Shore Studio of Dance, where she competitively danced for 16 years. In high school, she was a Walt Whitman Varsity Dance Team member where she was captain during her junior and senior year. She has also trained at Broadway Dance Center Training Program in New York City.
O’Dette spent three years on the student-run Seminole Dance Force at Florida State University. She was an officer her second year and captain during her third year. During her time as a Seminole, she helped lead them to top-three and top-five placements at the National Dance Alliance (NDA) Collegiate Cheer and Dance National Championships, in Daytona Beach, Fla.
She graduated with her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology, with a minor in Chemistry and Biology, from Florida State University in Tallahassee, Fla. O’Dette is originally from Long Island, N.Y.
