Cassandra McMillan was named head coach on July 14, 2025, after one season as an assistant coach with the program. In McMillan’s lone season on staff at LIU, the Sharks claimed their third consecutive national championship in Open Spirit Game Day at Universal Dance Association Nationals.
McMillan’s other coaching experience includes youth dance instruction on Long Island and as a coach with the varsity team at Kellenberg Memorial High School, her alma mater.
A Long Island native from Massapequa Park, McMillan graduated from the University of Delaware with a bachelor’s degree in psychology, criminal justice, and forensic science. While a student at Delaware, McMillan danced and choreographed for Delaware Dance Fever.
