LIU CHEER AUDITIONS

ELIGIBILITY & TEAM INFORMATION
All LIU Cheer members must:
- Maintain full-time enrollment status at Long Island University
- 12+ credits per semester as an undergraduate student
- 9+ credits per semester as a graduate student
- Maintain at least a 2.0 cumulative GPA on a 4.0 scale
The All Girl team aims to have a final roster of 28–32 members consisting of 7–9 of each stunt position (top girl, back spot, main base, and secondary base). Each candidate selected will be placed in a specific role; no candidate may fill multiple roles.
The Co-Ed team aims to have a final roster of 20 female athletes and 6–10 male bases. All Girl stunt groups may be added to the Co-Ed team. Male bases will be assigned a single stunt partner, not a stunt group.
Female candidates may audition for both the All Girl and Co-Ed teams. Male candidates may audition for the Co-Ed team.
CLINICS
LIU Cheer offers recruitment clinics throughout the year. Participants in LIU Cheer Clinics are permitted to bypass the video round of tryouts. Visit our Clinics page for more information.
REQUIRED & PREFERRED SKILLS
Execution of specific skills will be requested of you throughout the audition process. Candidates who advance to the final round will be asked to perform a stunt sequence of their choice that showcases their stunting abilities.
