BROOKVILLE, N.Y. — LIU defeated Saint Francis on Thursday afternoon, scoring three goals for the first time this season in a 3-2 win.
The Sharks clawed their way back from a 2-0 deficit, with
Kaylie Govoni scoring LIU's first goal at the 31:42 mark.
Grace Hennig then scored her team-leading third goal of the campaign to help her team tie the score before the first half came to a close.
Later in the second half,
Monica Viveros scored the go-ahead goal off an assist from this week's NEC Rookie of the Week,
Brooklyn Menard, to give LIU a lead they'd hold on to the rest of the way. The team is now 4-2-3 this season.

Keely Thomas also had a season-high seven saves for the Sharks, who will take the field once again on Thursday, Oct. 2, hosting Stonehill at 12 p.m.
