Staten Island, N.Y. – LIU baseball picked up a series win against Wagner this weekend, winning two out of three following Saturday night's 9-3 victory.
Justin DeCastro pitched a complete game for the Sharks, marking his third straight appearance pitching six or more innings. He struck out a season-high seven and earned his second win of the season while scattering six hits, three runs, and allowing just one walk.
Jack Power propelled LIU on offense, hitting his NEC-leading seventh home run of the year and driving in two.
Cord Dobrinski went 2-for-5, hitting his first home run and driving in three. Leadoff hitter
Benjamin Fierenzi led the Sharks with three hits, including a double and two RBI of his own.
LIU improved to a 3-3 record against conference opponents.
The Sharks will take the field next on Friday, March 21, visiting Delaware State at 3 p.m.
