BROOKVILLE, N.Y. — The LIU men's lacrosse team erupted with seven unanswered goals as the Sharks won their fourth straight game and improved to 3-0 at home after defeating Bellarmine 15-9 on Saturday afternoon.
LIU trailed 5-3 after the first quarter – but that quickly changed.
The Sharks scored seven straight goals in the second quarter, including two from 
Drew Togno, as LIU took a 10-5 lead into halftime. Tongo finished the game with a team-high four goals.
Mark Regan, 
Ben McIsaac, Camron Connolly, 
Owen Stefanko, and 
Ben Schuster each scored two goals, contributing to LIU's 15-goal performance.
Redshirt freshman goalkeeper and two-time reigning NEC Rookie of the Week 
Brayden Wilcken stopped 11 shots and earned his fourth win of the season.
Tyler Davide and 
Nicholas Kasica caused three turnovers each.
LIU picked up a game-high 31 ground balls.
The Sharks return to action next Saturday at Queens University of Charlotte.
