EAST MEADOW, N.Y. –

Chris Pappas,
Josh Zary, and
Isaiah Fox each scored in LIU's 4-2 victory over Lindenwood in the Sharks' 9th win on home ice on Thursday night at the Northwell Health Ice Center.
Rapalje scored his team-leading 12th goal and 22nd point of the season with the game's first goal, on the power play, 14:07 into the opening frame.
Pappas' tally evened the score at 2-2 in the second period, and Zary put the Sharks ahead for good by burying his sixth power-play goal of the season with 5:12 remaining in the second period to give LIU a 3-2 lead.
Fox's insurance goal came in the opening minutes of the third period as LIU improved to 9-1 on home ice and claimed game one of its two-game series against Lindenwood.
The Sharks and Lions return to the ice Friday night at 7:30 p.m. at the Northwell Health Ice Center.
Noah Rupprecht stopped 19 shots and earned his seventh win of the season.
LIU finished the game with a game-high 20 blocked shots.
