BROOKVILLE, N.Y. — On Feb. 2, the LIU Sharks faced off against the Diplomats of Franklin and Marshall, dominating the match with a 27-11 victory. 

Robbie Sagaris kicked things off with a tight 1-0 win over Jack Parker, giving the Sharks an early 3-0 lead. After dropping the next two bouts, the Sharks turned the tide in the 149-pound match. Drew Witham defeated Josh Hillard 8-4, followed by Brayden Roberts (157 lbs), who extended the lead with a pin over Luke Bender, marking his fourth consecutive pin. Newcomer Anthony Ferrari kept the momentum going with a 3-2 victory over Jack Palmucci at 165 pounds. At 174 pounds, Blake Bahna claimed an 8-5 win over Nick Alvarez. Anthony D'Alesio, competing at 189 pounds, cruised to a dominant 16-3 major decision over Noah Bash, marking his fourth win in the last four matches. In the final match of the night, Chris Powell wrapped up the victory with a commanding 20-4 technical fall over Brody Kline. 

The Sharks will return to action on Feb. 10 at 7 p.m. in the LIU Pratt Center, facing cross-town rivals Hofstra University.
