East Meadow, N.Y. — The Sharks hosted a home match at East Meadow High School to promote college wrestling at the Division 1 level. The Sharks took on the Kent State Golden Flashes to start the day, coming away with a 24-14 victory.

Robbie Sagaris led off with a sudden victory over Kent State's Tyler Hagensen at 125 pounds. Drew Witham (133 pounds) kept his winning ways going, securing a 7-6 win over Nate Roth. Brayden Roberts recorded his 6th pin of the season, pinning Aiden Rush in the first period at 157 pounds.

Blake Bahna, (174 Pounds) returning from injury, recorded a big major decision over Ethan Barr, followed by Anthony D'Alesio, (184 pounds) who also won by major decision over Trent Thomas. Chris Powell closed out the match with a dominant 10-1 victory over Brentan Simmerman at heavyweight, sealing the Sharks' 24-14 win over the Golden Flashes of Kent State.

It came down to the final bout of the day, but the Golden Eagles clinched the dual win over the Sharks who suffered a19-15 loss to the Clarion Eagles in a roller-coaster match. The Sharks earned their first win of the match at 149 pounds, where Drew Witham won by decision over Kyle Schickel. At 157 pounds, Brayden Roberts recorded his 7th fall of the season, pinning Chandler Ho.

In his highly anticipated debut with the Sharks, Anthony Ferrari secured a 7-6 win over Brady Worthing at 165 pounds. The final win for the Sharks came from 184-pounder Anthony D'Alesio, who won 4-1 in sudden victory over Adrian Gacek.
