HAMILTON, N.Y. — Josh Zary scored the lone goal for LIU in game one of the Sharks' two-game set against Colgate on Friday night.
Zary's power-play goal, his fourth man-up goal of the season, tied the game at 1 with 11:16 left in the second period.
Isaac Lambert and
Onni Leppänen assisted on Zary's sixth goal of the season.
Colgate's third-period tally in the opening minutes of the final frame proved to be the game-winner in the 3-1 contest at the Class of 1965 Arena.
Noah Rupprecht stopped 25 shots on the evening.
Andrius Kulbis-Marino and
Connor Gregga each finished the game with a team-high four blocks.
LIU and Colgate wrap up their two-game series Saturday at 5:30 p.m. at the Class of 1965 Arena.
