BROOKVILLE, N.Y. — The LIU baseball team swept the second leg of a doubleheader with an 11-5 against Le Moyne College to earn their first series win of the season Friday afternoon.
Connor Price had four hits and drove in three runs for the Sharks and was one of three Sharks players with multiple hits in the game, alongside
Benjamin Fierenzi and
Jake Mastillo.
An eighth inning solo home run by
JC Navarro provided further insurance for the Sharks.
LIU starter
Dominic Pieto pitched seven innings of one run ball and struck out nine.
The Sharks will look for the series sweep Saturday at noon.
