Bloomsburg, Pa. . — On Dec. 5, LIU traveled to Bloomsburg University for a wrestling dual against the Huskies. It didn't take long for the Huskies to realize they were in "Shark-infested waters," as LIU dominated the competition.

Here's a recap of the key bouts:

• 125 lbs: The Huskies forfeited to Robbie Sagaris (LIU), giving the Sharks an early 6-0 lead.
• 141 lbs: Devin Matthews (LIU) secured a dominant 14-3 major decision over Ashton Campbell (Bloomsburg), extending the lead to 10-3.
• 149 lbs: Drew Witham (LIU) pinned Hayden Coy (Bloomsburg) in the first period at 2:45, further pushing the Sharks ahead to 16-3.
• 157 lbs: Brayden Roberts (LIU) won a 4-0 decision over William Morrow (Bloomsburg), increasing the score to 19-3.

From this point forward, the Huskies were unable to gain any momentum:

• 174 lbs: Corey Connolly (LIU) pinned Luke Thomas (Bloomsburg) in the third period, bringing the score to 25-7.
• 184 lbs: Anthony D'Alesio (LIU) cruised to an 8-1 decision over David Tuttle (Bloomsburg), making the score 28-7.
• 197 lbs: John Dusza (LIU), returning to action this week, defeated Kolby Flank (Bloomsburg) by a 7-2 decision, increasing the Sharks' lead to 31-7.
• 285 lbs: Aeden Begue (LIU) capped off the victory with a 10-2 major decision over Mason Rebuck (Bloomsburg), finishing the match with a final score of 35-7 in favor of LIU.

Final Team Score: LIU 35 – Bloomsburg 7. The Sharks dominated every aspect of the dual, winning all but one match.   

LIU returns to action on Sunday, Dec. 15, hosting Binghamton at the Pratt Recreation Center at 12 p.m.
